Ford GPW 165021

I SUSPECT THAT THIS IS A TOTALLY ORIGINAL JEEP. This Jeep is in the process of being restored. I have been lucky with my purchase. All three Numbers are a match. Data Plate, Engine and Frame all match. ACCORDING TO JIM GILMORE AND HIS QUOTING ROUGE MOTOR BUILDING. SHE WAS BUILT ON NOV. 29TH, 1943. I BELIEVE THAT SHE WAS HELD STATE SIDE AND DID NOT GO OVER SEAS. I HAVE BEEN SLOWLY, AND BELIEVE ME SLOWLY PUTTING HER BACK TO HER GLORY DAYS. AT THIS TIME SHE IS 98% ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT WITH MORE TO GO. SHE IS A EVERY DAY DRIVER AND I USE HER A BUNCH. SHE HAS HER TYPICAL CHARACTER FLAWS, A DENT HERE AND THERE, but hey it is a motor pool jeep... SHE IS A TOTAL JOY TO OWN, (THOUGH MY WIFE DOES NOT THINK SO, YOU ALL KNOW IT'S A JEEP THING ) AND I AM VERY PLEASE TO HAVE A PIECE OF OUR HISTORY.
