MB 151001

Purchased for restoration from a well known Jeep dealer in the UK who bought a large batch back from Europe in August 2001. It had been well used by the Greek Army since the end of WW2 until the late 1970s,sold and then left in storage in Holland until October 2001. A Red Cross is in evidence under the Greek Army paintwork on the hood, as is the USA serial number 210???? that will be added when it has been fully identified. It is all 100% original, complete with fittings and combats, but a total rebuild is required. I hope to start the project January 2002.It will then be in the Jeep stable with my script GPW. Chassis no.9029. 11/11/01 I could not resist having a little play with it before I start the rebuild proper in January, and have now identified the hood number as 20224650. The engine was rebuilt in 1954 by 229 BOD (in Japan ?)and the engine was rebuilt again in 63 by the Greek Army.
