Willys MB 417064

This was originally bought as a project- by the last owner, Rich Saylor, in June 2002, located in Texas. As of now (late July '02) it's now here in California, with the tub (which is original but in sad repair) off. I have the original zinc data plates. The MB engine was cast on 19 Jan '45 (3+ weeks prior to the Jeep's DOD listed on the original data plate); I (Rich Saylor) believe it was an engine that was probably installed in an MB a few days or so prior to mine. I was lucky to find it. //Update...(Nov. '02) found a correct cylinder head, now I need to rebuild the engine! Still working on the body panels. July '03: I've finished the '52 M38 so I can go back to the MB. The chassis work is complete, will be resuming work on body soon. August '06. Still in bits. Oh well. June 2007: sold to Eric Frei, still in bits. August 2008: Body work has started, what a mess. July 2017: After multiple moves, the MB is now in PA. Progress is again being made with the body work being finished by Bob Foster in Scranton PA. Hoping to get her back on the road!

This is an original early '45 MB currently in restoration (meaning right now it's in several thousand bits!).
