Hood number is a "best guess" as is the date of delivery. The original data plates are missing. This jeep has a 1943 Ford frame and a 1945 Willys body. It had at least five coats of paint, including Air Force Blue with yellow numbers on the hood and the rear of the tub. The hood and tub numbers I found are 20718831-S. I found the same numbers in white on OD under the blue. I am restoring this jeep to WWII ETO appearances. I have not yet located the engine serial number, and there is a rebuild tag on the lower left side of the block, so I doubt the engine is original either.
