Driver's Trip Ticket found in jeep, indicates it was used by the 364 INF, Co B, 11/15/4? (year unable to read). The 364 INF was a colored unit, redesignated from the 367 INF Regiment, assigned to Camp Claiborne, La. Then moved to Phoniex, Al., Camp Van Dorn, Miss., Ft Lawton, Wash., and garrison duty on Adak Island 6-Feb-1944. Inactivated at Adak Island on 15-May-1946. The jeep was sold surplus at Stockton Ordnance Depot 1946 to ex-vet who used it for transportation to college. The jeep was stored on parents farm after college. He took it to Lakeview, Oregon in the mid 1970s, and then sold to a person in Grants Pass, Oregon (who painted it brown) and placed add in paper, which I saw and purchased it.
