Jeep was purchased in 1955 from the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot near Ogden Utah. I bought it from the first civilian owner who used it for hunting trips.
Jeep was delivered in light OD green. It was later painted Navy gray. The final coat of paint is USMC OD green with yellow lettering although I am not sure if this is a Marine Corp or SeaBee jeep.
The frame plate is aluminum and states as follows:
