GPW 43758

After looking hard for months for a military Jeep that wasn't a total rust bucket, a seller answered my wanted ad and sold me this 1942 JPW on Sunday, March 23, 2003, for $800. The seller had found it last fall while out hunting. He bought it from the farmer, hauled it home, then realized he had too many irons in the fire to work on it, so sold it to someone (me) who'd see to it that this GPW someday ran. Upon buying it, several parts we're robbed from the GPW. Gears from the transfer case were removed. No shift tower. NO steering wheel. No seats. Engine is also not original as someone put in a 6-cylinder. I love to talk Jeeps. If you do too, e-mail me at ahr@nrctv.com. I'll update this page as I discover new information. Mark
