MB 2759

Rolling chassis including engine, trans, axles and brakes are completely rebuilt and assembled. Engine has been fired up and she purrs like a kitten, all the gear boxes are quiet too. The engine is a non-serial-numbered Ford replacement engine. This early GPW is on the MB frame, has the r/h fill trans, f-marked bolts on the chassis, gearboxes and axles, but none on the body. Tiger-eye reflectors. As of Sept 13 of 2002, the body is about 2/3 of the way done. Many, MANY hours of welding, grinding, etc., etc. 10-25-02 - Just drove this GPW down to the corner and back! Body work is far from being completed but just had to try it out. No problems, runs great. Now back to the mig welder, grinder and bondo.... January 26, 2004 - Finished! Runs and drives like a new one.
