Willys MB 423478
Willys MB early 1945. The entered frame number was found stamped in the frame. Has a hood(?)number 2034287 stamped into both front gussets.
The jeep will be restored back to a 1945 medic jeep.
Any info about medic jeeps is appriciated.
The engine was deliverd on January 12th 1944 and is a motorpool replacement. It was rebuilt in 1952 in Karlsberg, Germany and again in 1958 in Greece, where it also was converted to 12V. The engine is now almost completely restored and converted back to 6V. Has recently run for first time in 30 years.
No dataplates at all on frame or tub. Only the greek hoodnumber was found: ES 22257. Lot's of F-marked parts, especially on the front of this jeep. The pintle hook is also a very nice F-hook...
