I finally received a real GPW frame number (gpw 175668 assembly plant Louisville, Ky) sample that will serve as the cornerstone of my upcoming analysis of GPW serial numbers.
Work on GPW numbers, hood numbers, and Dates of Delivery is not guesswork — it requires comparison, structure, and careful analysis. But having an original stamped frame section as a physical reference goes far beyond photos or spreadsheets.
