sold to a retired US Army NCO in Tacoma, Wa. This jeep is called "PATCH" due to all the weld patching we had to do to restore the tub. The tub is from a 1943 GPW, the fire-wall and transmission hump are from the original 1942 MB tub. The frame and engine are from this original "Slat Grill" original serial number 115712, however someone had registered it with the serial number of the later 1943 tub.(so rusted that the only good pieces left were the cowling, firewall and most of the transmission hump). The 43 GPW tub floor has been completely replaced with patches we fabricated, the machine gun flat piece is original, but the rest of the floor we replaced. We also fabricated the lower drivers side tool panel from a sheet of steel. We made a wooden form with chisels and beat the shape into the steel. We also made a new gas tank well from new steel.
