Ford GPW 97472
The frame, engine, dataplates and tub are original to this vehicle and all match. Since I bought it I have rebuilt the generating system, the complete suspension, the transmission and transfercase, and a complete restoration/rebuild of the original fuel system which included a new Carter Carb, cleaned and recoated the fuel tank, re-routed the original fuel lines and added the right metal bowl fuel pump. Brakes were completely restored, complete steering system rebuilt, valve job and removed many pounds of bondo in the process of restoring the tub. My jeep has many "F" marked parts, although smaller parts and details are a mix of original and repro.
The Jeep is now also remarked as HQ-18 "Hootin Annie" from the 99th Infantry Battalion, and has been added a M31C mount and 50 Cal Machine Gun. Hood number is for the original "Hootin Annie" which was a May 43 MB.
