GPW 114840

Found and purchased from a couple living near Kernville, California. Reportedly had spent its life in California, as the couple purchased it from a nearby neighbor. Post war engine and wheels, bubba-ized front and rear bumpers. Part of the driver's side front panel is cut away. Hood number cannot be determined, suspect it was sanded away by one of prior owners before one of the 5 coats of paint were applied. Carb, fuel filter, fuel pump, and regulator replaced with non-original parts. I travelled from Kansas City in my father's 1979 Chevy truck and trailer to collect this vehicle and made two new friends out of the sellers. It was a long trip, but a sorely needed vacation. Now begins the difficult part, but its a labor of love, isnt it? I love these old jeeps....they just look so much like the little engine that could! Like they'd try their little heart out for you....
