I purchased this GPW from Bill Eldred (RIP), a fellow "G" member and Michigander in May of 2004. Since then I have completely disassembled it and it has undergone a complete restoration. My GPW was finished in August 2008 almost 65 years to the day it was delivered. Bill would have enjoyed seeing this one go down the road.
