Bought this jeep a few years ago, initially for parts to make my other '45 MB more accurate, but lately I've decided it would be a shame, and I've decided to collect some parts and probably build it into a 'motor pool' class jeep with my son in the next few years or so, then give it to him. It is pretty complete, except the seats, w/shield frame, fuel tank, and some small parts. There are no combat wheels, either. All of the original lighting is present and still wired up, all of the mechanical parts appear unmolested. The frame is still good. The bad news is that the body tub is shot. I hope to find another tub for it. I have the original data tags, both glovebox door and frame, but I've never looked for an engine, hood, or body number. I don't know anything about the history of this jeep. I bought it behind a one room schoolhouse along with a Jan '46 CJ and another flatfender CJ of unknown year in rural southwestern, PA.
