GPW 230463
It appears that this jeep was one of many purchased by the Australian government. It came into service on May 9th 1946 in the RAAF under registration number 216095. The chassis had been painted USMC green and underneath that I found OD. It looks like this jeep came from the US Marines, was it US Army before that? At the moment GPW 230463 is in restoration and will be restored to US Army.
