I found my jeep covered in with weeds, mud and rust. I bought the jeep and towed it home on July 18, 2004. I began the frame up restoration. Jeep was completely dismantled and slowly put back together. ID Numbers were sanded and repainted on the hood and could not be found. On April 25, 2005, I sanded the rear panel above the script "Willy's" and found the actual numbers in light blue paint...2041401. Restoration continued and I did my best to make it as original as possible but I also wanted to make it road worthy. The restoration was completed in March 2007. I plan to continue working on my '42 slat until I have it as accurate as possible.
