This Jeep had a CJ2 block when I bought it. The block had no serial numbers. It had to be scraped because it had a crack in the mains.
I was lucky enough to find another engine localy. The manufacture date on the block is 7-17-41 with a serial number of MB108960 which I find odd because that Jeep did not enter service until mid Dec 41 and the first MBs were not accepted until November 41. It also had a rebuild tag from Los Angeles DSCS the date of rebuild is 1-17-45.
Current update: I am back from the Middle East and have begun work again. The frame was going to cost to much to rebuild, so I bought a new reproduction frame.
