This 1943 Ford GPW was sent back to the USA in 1952 for rebuild at the Red River Arsenal Depot, as the revisionplate shows on the engine. The dashboardplate also had original Ford revision plates mounted, which were used after WW2 and have a slight different measure. Then sold to the Norwegian army. I bought it a couple of years ago at Beltring from a Danish dealer. During working on this Ford I found out that most F marks were still on its position and that it was completely rustfree, even the bottom. No hasty repairs were done after WW2 so this was an easy restauration. Even the toolbox under the backseat was mounted, which was a fieldmodifcation done by troops in the beginning of 1945.
