The jeep was found in hunting lodge in Oregon where it had been painted orange and used for many years to pickup dead animals. I got it in 2006 and have been restored it back to its former glory and appearence in the E.T.O circa 1945. The Jeep is 45 Willys and has the ruggard T-90 trans, original body and frame all of which needed some TLC to bring it back into shape. It originally had GPW motor but that was swapped out and replaced with a correct rebuilt Willys engine in 2007. I have since rebuilt the transmission, transfer case, carb, sterring assembly and after 64 years this old gal still runs like new. The Jeep recently recieved new paint and stencil's. The hood numbers are not correct for a 45 MB but instead match those of a jeep that my father was photographed in during advanced basic training in San Luis Abispo in 1943 just prior to shipping out to England and later to France in June of 44. The photo was taken at Fort Ord, Ca. on Sept 9th 2006 at an RPS event. The building in the background is an original WW2 clap board barracks and have sadly all been since demolished. The 'Old Gal' is a regular at local car shows, and can be seen patroling my neighborhood in Las Vegas and throughout the surrounding desert along with its other Jeep buddies from our local MV Club. Most of the restortions were done at Ernie Agulair's garage along with his help, support and friendship.
