I bought this MB on e-bay and drove it from Avignon to Bergerac before it completed its' journey by lorry ! It has been looked after for many years by Rene Rovai of the "Old Cevennes Authentic Jeep Club".It's not been renovated - just kept going - so it's pretty much all original. I will probably just keep it going until time allows a full rebuild. Hood number is estimated - can anyone verify it's in the ball park ? thanks.6-2-08 engine now rebuilt internally, 4 new hepolite pistons plus rings,mains and a new oil pump, runs like a sewing machine and no longer drinks oil. Discovered 2 of the old pistons had been angle ground to fit !!27/5/10 - Now been treated to fresh lick of paint & new dizzy cap,rotor arm, HT leads etc. Carburettor rebuilt aslo, it's getting there !
