I bought the De-milled 37mm Anti-tank Gun in May of 2005. Gave it a total restoration and needed a WWII Jeep to haul it with in parades. I bought the 42 Willys in November of 2005. The engine is a Ford GPW and has a 1945 Army rebuild tag. The previous owner finished an off body restoration which was stared by the guy he bought it from. He drove it for a few years then bought a M-151 and drove that instead of the Willys. Basically it was neglected for years. After sitting for so long it needed a lot of work. I disassembled as much of the body as possible, painted it, reassembled it then did a lot of major maintenance and minor repairs. The trans needed to be rebuilt but the rest was sweat equity by me and my friend Phil. In a few years I plan to do another off body restoration, the proper way with the proper parts.
