Ford GPW 170677. Serial No.(from original data plates present) matches frame and engine. Body is ACM Type 1 (Willys), correct for late '43 through very early '44 Ford production (see Kilbourn, Jim. Willys MB Body Numbers, Part Two. Staunton, Virginia. Undated manuscript. www.g503.com Article Archives). Registration number recovered from hood after very careful sanding. Bought at San Diego docks in 1946 and with same family until 4 JUL 04; mostly unmodified except for 12-volt electrical. Ground-up restoration by late 2005, using as many original or other WWII-vintage parts as possible; the rest came from Ron Fitzpatrick.
