I found this 1945 Willys (Named 'Jeeply' by my 5 year old daughter) quite by accident. While visiting an acquaintance who owns a 42 GPW, he mentioned he knew of a WWII veteran who was planning to sell his Jeep.
The gentleman, a 3rd Army Vet, was once the owner of over 30 military vehicles, and had slowly sold off his collection over the years. 'Jeeply' was the last in his 'stable', and he had long resisted selling his prize baby. But alas, over the past 11 years, 'Jeeply' had only driven 350 miles, and only rarely left its garage over the past 5 years. The jeep was declined by the man's son-in-law and by his grandson . . . so it was time to let go, and sell her to someone who would continue to care for her. I bought her before she was even listed 'for sale' !
