GPW 51368
This jeep was used in the small town of Egilsstaðir, Iceland, in WWII. In 1945, a convoy of US troops was driving out of town, going home. Luckily the clutch broke in this particular GPW. The local farmer approched the soliders and made an offer for the broke down GPW and its original MBT trailer, which the soilders agreed too. I was 3 years negotiating with the former owner to buy it, which finally happened. In the sale, I also got the MBT trailer, which originally came with this GPW in WWII!
