We bought our 44 MB in the Fall of 1999 in Quincy CA and began restoration in 2001. We finished the major restoration in June of 2008. It has orignal data plates and many original parts that are now back on the jeep. We decided to replace the old tub with a new one, due to the extensive amount of damage it had suffered. The hood number is an estimate. We did not have the original frame tag either. Otherwise, we have all other relevant numbers for the jeep. It has a Ford transmission and transfer case and a Willys engine.
