GPW 8015

I just could not pass this GPW up, even though it currently has a Pinto engine and transmission. It has the original script body on a Willys frame, which is stamped with the GPW serial number. The body has been slightly raised off of the frame. Bubba added the winch (which I am carefully cutting off) and moved the motor mounts and transmission crossmember. Windshield is obviously incorrect. Jerry can holder was mounted on right side above the front fender step. The original gas tank is still intact. It is going to take a lot of work to bring her back to what she should be, but there is enough there to save, I believe. Tom Wolboldt believes that this jeep was manufactured in the Richmond, CA, plant. UPDATE: Through a stroke of amazing luck, the original dataplates have been re-united with this jeep. Thanks, Robin! DOD is only 3-42 on plate--no specific date is given.
