My dad bought this MB around 1971 when I was just a kid, after having several CJ-2As. It is completely original, except for the 283 Chevy, and the hunting racks. It had made many trips to Colorado to take the previous mechanic owner and friends hunting.
I have mainly kept it just as it was for many years, until I disassembled it in 1979 to restore it. It has been stored inside, disassembled since then. Although it has made several moves, it has always been stored inside. I hope to reassemble it over the next couple of years so my son and I can enjoy it.
I do not hold out any hope of finding the correct number engine for it, but it would be nice, as the frame, body, and all tags match.
