Engine is out and being rebuilt at this writing (10/20/02). Thanks to Ron F., I will have correct parts for replacment of many of the things missing or worn out. OH GAWD...the motor is a Ford (w/mb numbers). Rescued from a San Jose CA wrecking yard. I have had a ball restoring the old girl and have dedicated it to the 90th Bomb Group (Heavy) - 400th Squadron B-24's. I think Dad would have gotten a kick out of that and would have had stories to tell about all the fun they had in Jeeps. This Jeep is my way of commemorating the "Great Generation" and the "JOLLY ROGERS" of the 90th. I would also like to mention that my father-in-law, now 80+, was a crew member in 453rd BG 734 SQ (B-24's). I tip my hat to him and his group as well....http://www.1942Willys.homestead.com
