Some words about Catmacjp : My wife, children and old friends has offered me this Willys MB for my fiftyth anniversary. What a day. Catmacjp is an ITM jeep. It means that it has served in french army just after the war. But it kept its US original serial number in the french army (ITM 367972).In 1953, some works have been done at LA MALTOURNE. After the french army, it has spent a professional civilian life. I’m not sure of the perfect matching of the frame and the body tube. René Royal told me that the DOD could be 9/7/44 but the body tube could have been manufactured the very first week of october. Anyway, a Willys MB with a GPW engine. My goal is to restaure it as close as possible to an Willys MB in use in US ARMY in the beginning of 1945. I've found yesterday the hood number (blue drab color) : 20638875. It seems to match with the tube number. I think that my tub and frame could have come together much later at a US Army overhaul facility. I've found a rebuilt tag on the engine (july 1945).
