Ford GPW 118408
Originally used during building of the Alaska Highway.
When a creek flooded it was buried.
Eventually it was dug up and my father paid $30 for it in the 1950s.
Everything is original (love that drivetrain!), except the motor, although it is presently painted Caterpillar Yellow. The hood still has the original snorkle hole. He also fabricated a hardtop for it, along with doors.
He owned it until 1995, when he gave it to me.
I also have an original Ford part list/book TM 10-1348 for this jeep.
