This MB was purchased from the army by an ex GI in the sw MINN, area after the war. He bought the MB in Wisconsin(Fort McCoy),and drove it home with a trailer. He converted the MB into a homemade sprayer unit for custom field & lawn work, it was the 1st in the area.It was last lisenced in 1966. The previous owner gave it to some boys for "cleaning up the place" they failed at making it run and sold it to a Barney the Junk Man for junk. (The wife forgot what happend to the trailer) I came along ang purchased it and disasembled it. The engine(gpw6015)was rusty but the body & frame were fairly complete and in fair condition, considering the area. Our Mb is the slate grille MB, my numbers are best guess as we found the #'s in the dark with a dim flashlight.the body does have a light od green paint job covering the hood #'s. It is a Willys frame, and Willys marked body, the engine was Ford GPW marked and F scripted engine parts were ther also. We contacted WILLYS MPLS & the kind guy came down and told us what we had,and that we should restore it right!!! We were going to install a pinto moter at 1st but with a little luck we bought 3 complete engines(2 brand new crate moters,1 used) 1 rebuildable short block and an extra block,+ our rusty but salvageable GPW engine. We also got an extra tranny, but I think its newer style than ours. e mail delfsinthedells@msn.com If any info or just want to chat or trade.
