Willys MB 224095
First owner John Strubbe (now aged 90) my father following his demob from British Army in 1946. and Taken on by myself his son in 1974 following his earlier purchase in 1963 of a Series 1 E-Type Jaguar still in his ownership today in 2010. The Jeep was purchased by him complete with bullet/shell holes in London in 1946 with a few non-standard variations maybe made by British Army. Spare parts originally purchased thereafter from Wick Autos at St Johns Road in Hampton Wick, Kingston-Upon-Thames, Surrey, England UK, followed by Metamet, Euro-Tech Exports, and Dallas Autos amongst others over the years.
May yet establish chassis(frame)& other ID numbers as restoration progresses. The original data plates are non-magnetic & apear to be tin plated maybe zinc?
