GPW 76868

This jeep was bought buy my brother in Italy at the end of the war for 200.00 dollars. It was shiped to the states and has been in the family ever since. The original engine was replaced in about 1953 by a government rebuilt at a cost of about 50.00. The engine has never been apart and still runs well. The block has a gpw on the right side and the data plate says all the demensions are standard. The jeep was put to work plowing snow pulling stumps hauling wood and just about everything else. We are curentley doing a frame off restoration. One interesting point on the data plates is that two are made of brass and one made of steel.
