The GPW engine has casting nr. GPW-6015. It has no serial number, because it is a replacement motor from between about Oct., '42 and about Aug., '43. The serial number pad has a hump at the beginning . Many people call this a stepped pad and it is only found on Ford made GPW motor blocks. Before about Oct. '42 the pad was a flat oval. The Willys came from England. It was professionally restored there in about 1995 (estimate). For unknown reasons it was left unprotected outside, to rotten for several years, untill it was imported to my country and some while later we bought him in january 2010. We totally restored the Willys back to how it left the factory in 1944. We finished the restoration just before 2011. It still has most of the original bolts and almost all parts (also under the hood) are original and marked.
