There are 2 histories at work in this Jeep. The obvious WWII history but also the early days of recreational off-roading. This "script" 1942 GPW was most likely a late 50s or early 60s off roader as it has had the original motor replaced with a f head Hurricane 4cyl, saginaw power steering conversion and a Saturn full range overdrive. It has probably been flopped once as the windshield and hood have been replaced with CJ2a parts. All of the rest of the original drivetrain is intact as well as seats and gauges. It was a hard balancing act to keep it as military looking as possible but keep its off road heritage as well. I am currently looking for the correct military hood and windshield.
