Date of delivery - 16th of June 1945. Louisville KY plant. Very late 'Deep-Mud Exhaust' GPW - used by the US navy in California (possably San Francisco) - then around 1947, as a (land based) mobile power-unit for starting jets on an airfield. It was painted bright yellow all over (common for airfield jeeps) and was fitted with a dashboard rev counter to keep track of the load exerted by the extra generator mounted under the hood. Now undergoing (nearing completion of) a full ground-up - 'nut & bolt' restoration to original spec's & condition.
