This GPW was purchased in California in 2000. I hadn't researched a whole lot on what to look for in a WW2, just the basics. I am still amazed at how incredibly lucky I was to find this jeep. It literally was almost completely original, even down to the F script bolts. I didn't have to purchase any of the commonly missing (and expensive) F script parts, ie. grab handles, foot rest, ect. Even my crank handle was Ford marked. Every system was completely rebuilt and new floors were added to the tub. The ground up restoration took me a while to complete, but I was able to do it and in the process I learned a great deal about auto mechanics.
