My First Jeep (Aaah!). Sadly sold for the deposit on my first house in 1997. (I had two jeeps by that point, but nowhere to live, priorites were never my strong point) The jeep had its zinc chassis plate with a "Slat Grill" number, but no original plates on the glovebox door. The body was scripted, and it had the Flat Topped early pressed grill without an F stamp, and no indication of slat grill side air deflectors being fitted to its Willys pattern front wings. I wish I knew if it was a rebuild using mostly early parts, or one of the first pressed steel grill Willys. I'll never know now as the current owner has it in store and I'm unlikely to see it again for a while.
