This 1945 MB was rescued off a farm near Wichita, KS. Original factory engine cast on 2-12, proper late war MB cylinder head dated 2-27, original GEG-5101D generator dated 2Z, original voltage regulator dated 2Z, original Auto-Lite ignition coil dated 2Z. Registration number as estimated by Tom Wolboldt should range from 20689216 - 20689308. This jeep is fairly unmolested and much of its components seem to be factory original. The only major modification was to the headlight openings in the grill...they were cut out a little larger to accommodate larger retrofitted headlamps...as was DOT regulation in many states.
The original nomenclature plate is missing but the other two are present including the shipping tag on the dash.
