Listed on MILWEB: This is a very unique vehicle with interesting history. After its landing in Normandy in June 1944 it has been in service on the Western Front until the end of the war. After its demobilisation from the US Army it went to a surplus yard in Enschede The Netherlands. From there it was bought by a local municipality in the province of Overijssel! For the Municipality it served in different departments as a general support vehicle for many decades. Also, it was used by the local Fire Brigade. When the engine failed it finally ended up in a barn where it was stored for many years awaiting better times. In the seventies it was luckily discovered by a Dutch collector Mr. Nus who restored it to its former glory with a lots of love and attention. After this it went to another owner who spent a lot of time in getting also the details in good order. The uniqueness of this vehicle is that it almost complete original. Only the engine was replaced by a later genuine WW-II model. Original WW-II Willys script body!
