GPW 2996

Jeep was sent in 1942 to a military base in Scotland, where he spent the entire war until 1945. It was one of the first Fords sent to this base and the soldiers didn't quite know how to build it, so the rear bumpers were screwed upside down!!! (It could be also Air Corps jeep where was popular mounting bumperetes upside down. This is a detail that I will definitely recreate during the renovation. After the war, in 1946, it was sold to a farmer from Hillside near Rawtenstsall.

Unfortunately, the Ford was converted by the London-based company Metamet, which replaced the original body with a wooden one. In 1990 it was found at Farm where It played a role to be an house for chicken. Sold in 1997 to France but never has been renovated. in december 2023 sold to Poland where is now goint to be full restored.
