This Jeep was purchased by the previous owner in 1946 as surplus and used as a run about. Unfortunatly he drove it into something rather solid which resulted in the front becoming rather crumpled and the chassis broken. I purchased it in 1992 from the owner in Pennsylvania USA where it had been dry stored in a garage for well over 30 years. Luckily it was in very original condition despite being sprayed a disgusting shade of green. The only parts that i have had to purchase for it was the windscreen, lights, tires, canvas and exhaust. All the remaining parts appearing to be original. None of the original markings could be found, and the hood number was therfore an estimation. It is restored as the run about of Captain Chaplain Maddern of the 112th Infantry Battalion 28th Division. There is one bullet hole in the rear cross member. Goshahn@aol.com.
