The British wartime hood number of this jeep was M 4750059, part of a block of numbers (4710201 - 4750700)issued to British vehicles serving in the Middle East. It was delivered under contract SM 2275 The scan is of the typical post war data plate fitted to all British military vehicles from the late '40s onwards. (This is the only plate remaining for this vehicle). YH and YJ series number blocks were issued to jeeps, and this one would have displayed 20 YH 11 on number plates at the front and rear. It was sold off by the British Army on 21st October 1957.
