GPW 13663

Purchased the GPW in June 2023 in the UK. Imported from the US at some point where is resided in Oroville, California during the 1970's. It has Bechtel rebuild plate in the dashboard dating from July 1945. I think what happened is during the 1945 rebuild the body was married up to a different frame - hence the two serial numbers from the frame and data plate. There were also Bechtel rebuild plates on the front axle and transmission. Currently under restoration due to be completed in 2025. The engine was a post war replacement from a CJ or M38
